The honour system

We’re stocked up so you don’t have to scramble for supplies when you get here but that only works if you pay it forward. Meaning if you  use up the shampoo, leave a new one. Finish the ketchup? Get another. Drink half the vodka? You guessed it… Don’t be the last-square-on-the-roll type of person.

The cleaners will arrive at that time and they ask you vacate the house while they work.

​

• Clean the grill, make sure the small appliances are cleaned (coffee machines etc.). Make sure the propane is switched off on the BBQ and the Firepit

• Take all used towels, wash cloths, bed sheets and pillowcases to the laundry room and leave them on the floor

• Start a load of laundry early enough to swap it into the dryer and start a second load! That'll help the cleaners be out for the next group in three hours

• You can leave all the outdoor blankets and cushions outdoors where you found them. Put the furniture back to how it was when you arrived if you moved things around. 

• Put the umbrellas down in case the wind blows. 

• Take the garbage and recycling out – bins are outside by the garage. (Recyclables in the blue and grey bins, garbage in the black, organics in green)

• Replace all the items that were here before you arrived that you needed to borrow, such as booze, wine, sunscreens, advil etc. Again, just try to leave it like you found it

• Don’t forget to take the garage door opener out of the rental car and put by the ipad

• Put the Sonos Move portable speaker inside and on the charging station

• Lock all the doors and windows

• Turn off the pool heating, lights and spa mode

 

And make sure there’s cold beer in the fridge for the next group rolling into the heat!
